Developed and constructed over 100 MW of utility-scale solar energy projects since 2008 with a focus on rural North Carolina, Appalachia, and New York as well as indigenous communities in the US Southwest and Canada. In charge of US East Coast business development for Lendlease Solar Engineering Procurement and Construction Team. Principal in Asia Cleantech Gateway, working as a liaison, interpreter, research manager for East Asian solar companies expanding into the North America. Managed China-related research projects for investor clients at Gerson Lehrman Group, Ergo Advisors in NYC and for US government customers at the CENTRA Company in D.C. US Army 35D Intelligence Officer, Department of Defense Civilian Intelligence Officer, and Mandarin Linguist.  Supported Joint Chiefs of Staff J2 North Korea Desk in the Pentagon.  Briefed the highest levels of Department of Defense leadership and wrote extensively on Northeast Asia political/military issues.

In charge of Business Development for Eclipse-M.  Utilizing lean thinking and SPWF (single-piece-work-flow), Eclipse-M organizes the work, trains the workforce and provides management assistance to lower the cost and increase efficiency on solar project construction and operations.

Lead business development for the U.S. East Coast and Texas for Solar Engineering Procurement and Construction Team. Closed nearly 100 MW of solar projects for Lendlease

Managed North America energy market business plans for East Asian renewable energy companies. Represented Japanese client, Itochu, at a New Mexico solar plant Request for Proposal pre-bid meetings and led a group of Itochu leadership to New Mexico to meet state energy representatives.

Scored highest Department of Defense Mandarin Chinese test ranking, qualifying as an interpreter for visiting Chinese military delegations. Managed the finances, personnel, and the production of market research studies. Organized and produced quantitative models based on survey results. Created a client feedback program.

Managed research projects on China’s solar power, wind power, coal gasification and coal liquefaction technology. Interviewed top Chinese energy sector officials and business leaders in Chinese. Assisted US companies in starting China business ventures by utilizing extensive contacts.

Provided senior expertise and leadership on projects relating to China’s emerging energy market. Managed the finances of major research projects. Wrote reports on China’s strategy to secure international petroleum sources.

Co-authored an influential National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) which shaped US policy toward China and Taiwan. Wrote economic analysis reports on China’s global attempts to secure energy sources. Briefed the highest levels of the US government leadership. Acted as interpreter, planner, and representative for top US government delegations to China.
